Smash burger panini

Smash burger panini

This smash burger, created by the French 2 Michelin starred chef Jean-François Piège, is unique because it does not use a traditional bun. Adding The Laughing Cow® Professional Squeeze Emmental Cheese Sauce into a smash burger panini enhances the overall culinary experience by providing creaminess, flavour enhancement, texture contrast, and versatility, making it a valuable addition to this classic sandwich.

Ingredients

Preparation

  1. Precooking the patties: in a lightly oiled pan, place the minced meat patties and press them down firmly to obtain a crushed “smash” patty measuring about 1 cm thick.
  2. Cut the lettuce leaves into a chiffonade and toss with The Laughing Cow® Professional Squeeze.
  3. Slice the panini breads in half and then spread The Laughing Cow® Professional Squeeze on the inner surfaces.
  4. Cut the tomatoes into thin slices.
  5. Brown the slices of bacon in the oven for 3 minutes at 220°C until they are golden. Blot off any excess fat.
  6. Cut the pickles in half lengthwise.

Assembly

  1. On the base of the panini, place the salad seasoned with The Laughing Cow® Professional Squeeze, add a few slices of tomato, the cooked patty, three slices of bacon, and the pickle halves. Top with the other side of the panini.
  2. Place the panini for 10 minutes in the panini maker, turning over halfway through.
